Elsa arrives on Amoi in the midst of an oppressive heat wave. While she shakily gets her bearings, she obtains gainful employment as a waitress in Apathia alongside Yu. Soon after her arrival, she's forced to spend a week-long vacation in Her Bay, a mark in the shape of a sun branded on her back thanks to an ill-conceived publicity stunt. The resort does nothing for her; shortly after returning home, fighting breaks out in the streets of Ceres, and Elsa tries to avoid going outside, for fear of being a danger to herself and others.
